VOXLUMO · RELIABILITY & RECOVERY

Keep the transcript safe when the workflow gets messy.

Most transcription failures are easier to recover from when you separate the job into three stages: check the source, get the transcript, then add intelligence and exports. The transcript remains the primary deliverable.

Before upload

Run a 60-second preflight.

  • Use the clearest original recording available instead of a forwarded or recompressed copy.
  • Confirm you are authorized to submit the recording.
  • Note important names, brands and technical terms before review.
  • For very long files, keep the browser tab open while Voxlumo prepares safe sections locally.
During transcription

Recover without restarting everything.

  • If the network drops, retry the transcription before changing the source file.
  • If a large recording fails during browser preparation, try a shorter source section instead of repeatedly resubmitting the same file.
  • If the service is temporarily rate-limited, wait and retry rather than creating duplicate jobs.
  • Do not clear locally saved projects while you are still reviewing or exporting the transcript.
After transcription

Protect the useful result first.

  • Review and correct the transcript before relying on summaries or meeting intelligence.
  • Download a Clean TXT or Speaker TXT before doing optional downstream work.
  • Save a local project only as a convenience copy; browser storage can be limited or cleared by the user or browser.
  • Use SRT or VTT only when timed segments are available for the project.
Fast diagnosis

What failed?

The file is rejected before transcription

Check that the source is an audio file or a supported video/audio container. If the file was exported by another app, re-export it in a common audio format before retrying.

A long recording stops while being prepared

Keep the tab active and retry once. If the same recording repeatedly fails, split the source into shorter sections and transcribe them separately.

Transcription finishes but an optional tool fails

Keep the transcript. Export or save it first, then retry Meeting Intelligence, questions or another optional step separately.

The browser cannot save a local project

Export the transcript immediately. Then remove older local projects if you want to free browser storage. Local project saving is not a substitute for an exported deliverable.
